Read the lines. See in between.

Pop art is a visual art movement that started in UK (mid 50′s). Pop art and minimalism are considered to be the last modern movements.

There’s a lot of interesting stuff to say about pop art and its history, like: the huge impact of Python Pop art, Jasper John’s Flag, Andy Warhol’s interesting works, Takashi Murakami’s Superflat style and lots more.

What I particularly like about pop art is the attitude it can pour directly into the viewer. It has that special ability that gives you a certain rich feeling each time you contact it. Anyway, let’s take a glimpse at the new style LA Pop Art art has to offer us.

LA Pop Art uses a technique of art known as micrography.

Micrography is the scribal practice of employing minuscule script to create abstract shapes or figurative designs, is an art form that has been used by Jews for over a millennium.

Few examples I want to show you, just to have a first impression:

Depicts a Scarface poster. This was written entirely by hand and uses the whole 300 page script.

Wedding, daughter…Created using the entire script from “The Godfather”.

Bob Marley “celebraaaaation” style, created using lyrics from the “Exodus” album.

They’re nice, overall and have a great impact! especially when you realize there’s the whole script of “Godfather” or “Scarface etc.

The meticulously drawn detail, surrounds the artwork with a special something… but, how suddenly interested I was at first to read the lines (curiosity:  is the WHOLE script?) …it suddenly started to fade away, and had my eye rest with the whole thing.

Now, I really want to know: what do you think about this particular new pop art trend?
