For those of you who are unfamiliar yet with the Steampunk concept, this is a sub-genre of science-fiction that relates to old technologies, such as steam powered vehicles, zeppelins, mechanical clockworks, dusty goggles, analog computers, steam pipes, valves and mostly anything that can be manipulated by steam ,all generally from the Victorian era. Similar inventions, fantastic ones, are found in the works of Jules Verne and H.G. Welles.

Origami is the  is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. The word , literally meaning to fold (oru) paper (kami) and comes in many styles and varieties.   Moneygami  is origami made from currency; the challenge lies  incorporating the prints on the dollar bills into the facial characteristics of the finished figures.

Pete Harrison is an UK based graphic designer and he insists on creating pieces of work  that are  completely versatile and outstanding. He plays around with light and uses incredible shapes  to create a world of his own. And what a beautiful world this is !

From commercial to artistic…these photographs have something in common…along with a strong visual impact they have a an amazing sometimes fun idea behind them. It will make you smile, or meditate on certain issues but it won’t leave you indifferent.

Alex Trochut is an incredible artist from Spain. He  delivers some amazing typography and illustration works. His layouts are remarkable fluid and clean and I must say that I’m impressed seeing what he does with font. Hats off  Mr. Trochut !
